2nd Story Theatre Presents AN INSPECTOR CALLS, 11/8-12/2

Given the current hoopla surrounding the 99% versus the 1%, JB Priestley's 1945 mystery/morality play couldn't be more timely. First performed in the Soviet Union in 1945, and revived to great acclaim by Britain's National Theatre in 1993, An Inspector Calls is "a potent play for today" – The London Mail.

In 1912, the wealthy Birling family is visited by Inspector Goole, who questions them about the suicide of a young, working- class woman. Under interrogation, each member of the family is found complicit in the young woman's exploitation and abandonment, effectively causing her demise. An Inspector Calls won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

There are two Previews: Friday November 2 at 8:00pm and Sunday November 4 at 3:00pm. Preview tickets are $20. Performances are November 8 – December 2, Thursdays at 7:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. There is an additional performance on Sunday, November 11 at 7:00pm.

Tickets are $25. The Bristol Statehouse is located at 240 High Street, Bristol, Rhode Island. For tickets visit the 2nd Story Theatre Box Office at 28 Market Street, Warren, RI, call 401-247-4200, or email boxoffice@2ndStoryTheatre.com.
