Coastway Community Bank Sponsors 'YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN' Tour Launch At PPAC, Plays 9/29-10/4

J.L. "Lynn" Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center, is pleased to announce that Cranston-based Coastway Community Bank will sponsor THE NEW Mel Brooks MUSICAL YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, which launches its National Tour at PPAC from Tuesday, September 29 through Sunday, October 4, 2009.

Singleton said, "PPAC is very grateful for Coastway's sponsorship of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. I personally admire Coastway's commitment to supporting local businesses and its passion for everything Rhode Island."

Bill White, President and CEO of Coastway, said, "We're very excited to be sponsoring YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. We think it's fantastic that YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN chose to open its National Tour at PPAC. It's a great opportunity for Providence and the rest of Rhode Island. Coastway has always cared about the Rhode Island community; supporting such a respected performing arts establishment like PPAC is just another way for us to give back."

Coastway Community Bank began as Coastway Credit Union in 1920; they became a Rhode Island-charted member-owned mutual savings bank in July 2009. Coastway's conversion from a credit union to a community bank is a first for a Rhode Island bank and reflects Coastway's dedication to providing the best for their customers and the belief that local banks stimulate local economies.

Coastway Community Bank has seven branches in Rhode Island; their offices are located in Cranston, Lincoln, Warwick, East Providence, and Providence. For further information, visit their website www.coastway.com or call the Coastway Contact Center at (401) 455-3200 between 8A and 4:30P.

The Providence Performing Arts Center is a historic theatre building. At its inception in October 1928, the theatre was a Loew's movie palace. Over the years, it underwent various name changes until it was renamed the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in 1982. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, PPAC currently presents top-flight touring Broadway productions, family shows, concerts, and more.
