STAGE TUBE: Promo Video for The Gamm's RED

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) stages Red, John Logan's passionate play about the celebrated abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko. Winner of the 2010 Tony Award for "Best Play," Red swept Broadway with its masterful exploration into the soul of an artist, spanning grief and despair, ecstasy and hope. Logan's stunning two-person play fictionalizes Rothko's artistic and emotional journey as he creates a series of highly lucrative murals commissioned for Manhattan's newest, most exclusive restaurant, but at what personal cost?  BroadwayWorld has a promo video below.

Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella stages a fierce battle of wills between Rothko (Gamm Resident Director FrEd Sullivan Jr.) and his assistant, Ken (Marc Dante Mancini), amidst a feverish collision of canvas and paint.

Red runs from November 8 through December 16 at The Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket, RI. Tickets are $36 and $45 (depending on day/time).
