On March 31, EgoPo presents Anna, a World Premiere adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Playwright and Director Brenna Geffers brings literature's greatest heroine to new life with the help of a wandering theater troupe armed with a collection of rickety antiques and instruments. They perform the story, set in the shifting landscape of Imperial Russia, to seek refuge from their own unsettling world. You are invited on their journey, and Anna's, as they travel together toward the story's unavoidable end. Anna previews March 29-30 and opens Friday, March 31. The show runs three weeks, closing on Sunday, April 16. Tickets start at $25. Performances are at the Latvian Society Theater on 7th and Spring Garden.

When a modern Irish playwright meets a Russian classic - all hell breaks loose. On October 28, EgoPo presents the Philadelphia premiere of Theatre O and Enda Walsh's raucous revisioning of The Brothers Karamazov. Through an explosion of light, sound and puppetry, this theatrical outburst of toxic masculinity will grab audiences by the throat. Three brothers are locked in an eternal family struggle with their abusive patriarch culminating in an epic theological battle. Delirium previews October 26-27 and opens Today, October 28. The Russian Arts Theater and Studio (TRATS) continues its 2016/17 season with Crime and Punishment, a newly adapted play by Di Zhu based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's magnum opus. Renowned Muscovite director Aleksey Burago leads an international ensemble featuring Charles Anderson, Georgina Bates, Jim Boerlin, Michael Donaldson, Toni Goldman, Perikles Mandinga, Luisa Menzen, Ariel Polanco, Danijela Popovic, Flavio Romeo, David Russell, Ingrid Wheatley, Christopher Zach and Di Zhu.

GAME OF THRONES' Harry Lloyd will return to the stage this October in a modern adaptation of NOTES FROM UNDERGROUND, a novella by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The production previewed earlier this year in Paris. NOTES FROM UNDERGROUND will be the inaugural production at The Print Room's new venue, The Coronet in Notting Hill.
